Je weiter Bojowald die Zeit zurücklaufen ließ, desto höher sah er die Dichte wachsen. Irgendwann war in jedem Kubikzentimeter die Masse von Abermilliarden Sonnen vereint. Dann aber, fast scheint der Urknall schon erreicht, verändert sich das Verhalten des Modell-Universums: Plötzlich weigert sich der Raum, sich noch weiter zusammenzuziehen. Einem Schwamm gleich hat er sich bis zum Äußersten voll mit Energie gesogen.
Und dann geschieht es: Der Raum prallt an sich selbst ab.

"He can still remember the Summer of 2000, when the stressful chirring of the crickets had no end and the pressing hot weather messed up his head until late night. The young scientist had recently moved from Aachen to the USA, everything was new to him in Penn State, and for some weeks, Physics were not his main concern. It may be possible that all these problems didn't allow him to acheive any reasonable results once he was back to work. "Then I did not even try to clear my mind", he says today. But Bojowald had luck because suddenly everything began to match and he recognized how his equations broadly sketched were showing him the birth of a Univers. The more Bojowald let Time pass, the higher grew its density. At some point, in each cubic centimeter melted a mass of a billion suns. But then, when the big bang was near to happen, the developement of this model Univers changed: suddenly the space stopped its expansion. The space absorbed the energy like a sponge and then, it happened: the space rebound in itself. And there was even more: when Bojowald put back the time to its origin, the space spread again; the Univers that was in the middle of an unstoppable shrinking process, rose again."
